Lifesavers – a Lecture Series Spotlighting Heroes Among Us

October 19, 2015 Boston

Join the Vilna for this special evening with the Innocence Project, spotlighting Dennis Maher, who was wrongfully accused of a crime he didn’t commit and spent nearly 20 years imprisoned. Join Dennis, and the attorney who spear-headed his case, Aliza Kaplan, for conversation and questions.

This talk is the first in a new lecture series featuring high-profile speakers, candidly sharing their stories. Don’t miss this riveting series! Light refreshments will be served. Special thanks to our Lifesaver Series sponsors: Jason Weiner and Nicole Zatlyn.

The Vilna’s Downtown Empty-Nesters Social Club will meet in the community room after the program and walk together to a nearby restaurant. Cost. Please email Rosa at rosa@vilnashul.org if you’d like to join the group for an accurate reservation headcount.

The Vilna is a bustling cultural center located inside a nearly 100-year old synagogue building, the last of its kind in Boston. We are T accessible and $5 validated parking is available at 175 Charles Street (Charles River Plaza underground parking garage, next to Au Bon Pain). All are welcome!
