Love And Marriage Jewish Style: The Foundations And Concepts Of Jewish Marriage.
In these 2 seminars (March 2 and April 6) Rabbi Norbert Weinberg will lead us in studying Torah sources to address several questions about marriage such as whether a man is permitted to marry more than one woman, when polygamy ended for Ashkenazic Jews, and what its status is with modern Sephardic Jews. We will learn what the laws pertaining to marriage are in modern Israel. We will learn whether divorce is permitted according to Halacha (Jewish Law) and what the rules and parameters are. We will also examine such interesting issues as whether a man is permitted to remarry his divorced wife.
