Temple Emeth and the Tzofim Israeli Scouts join together for a special Holocaust Remembrance Program highlighted by the opportunity to meet and hear from visiting Israel Defense Forces visiting officers.

The officers will share personal stories about their experiences in the military, their connection to the American Jewish community and their insight on the Holocaust.

The evening will also include greetings from Matan Zamir, Deputy Consul General of Israel to Newton, and Neil Wishinksy, Chair of the Brookline Board of Selectman.

Joyce Levin will provide a survivor’s experience and Rabbi Alan Turetz will offer poignant words of remembrance. Tzofim members will share their impressions of Poland and, together with Temple Emeth’s Pa’amonim Israeli singers, provide music. There will be readings by Jewish community students.
