Join Rabbi Katy Allen of Ma’yan Tikvah – A Wellspring of Hope as she offers a unique way to celebrate Shabbat through a connection with nature and the world around us. All are welcome to join Rabbi Katy and Gabi Mezger of Ma’yan Tikvah as we walk through forest trails and along Upper Mill Brook Conservation’s ponds and streams, enjoying the stillness of the winter season.

Connect with the group and the world around you through singing, meditation, prayers and a Torah discussion. (We will begin the morning outdoors, but will conduct the Torah discussion inside the Peace Lutheran Church.) You may find a peace and connection with Shabbat and Judaism you haven’t found in traditional services.

About Ma’yan Tikvah:
Ma’yan Tikvah – A Wellspring of Hope, lead by Rabbi Katy Z. Allen, is an independent congregation, literally without walls. It provides an alternative way of encountering Judaism through outdoor services and intimate learning opportunities. Ma’yan Tikvah strives to provide a place of hope and trust for those seeking a meaningful connection to Judaism, personal and communal experiences of the sacred through ritual, holiday observance, study, prayers and encounters with the natural world of the environment.

To RSVP, or with questions and inquiries, please contact Rabbi Katy Z. Allen at rabbi@mayantikvah.org.

Donations are welcome to support Ma’yan Tikvah via our website but are not accepted in person on Shabbat or holidays.

Inclement weather may cancel this event or change the location. In the event of cancellation, all who have registered will be notified.
