Join Rabbi Polisson and the Or Atid community to hear Rabbi Mikie Goldstein speak about Masorti (Conservative) Judaism in the State of Israel. Rabbi Goldstein will also talk about religious pluralism, LGBTQ+ rights and other contemporary issues in Israel, while helping us understand the importance of supporting Masorti (Conservative) Judaism in Israel.

Rabbi Goldstein is the president of the Rabbinical Assembly of Israel and rabbi of Kehillat Adat Shalom-Emanuel in Rehovot, the only non-Orthodox synagogue in the city. He earned rabbinical ordination and an MA in Talmud and Halakhah (Jewish law) from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Rabbi Goldstein is originally a native of Liverpool, England, and has been living in Israel since 1989. In 2014, just two years after Israel’s Masorti (Conservative) Movement approved the ordination of gay and lesbian rabbis, Rabbi Goldstein became the nation’s first openly gay Masorti pulpit rabbi.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet a groundbreaking Israeli rabbi and to hear his perspectives!
