Kol Nidre is time to reflect and begin again for a new year. Kahal B’raira’s service will be filled with music including the ancient song Kol Nidre, which is chanted and played as an instrumental piece. Our humanistic liturgy and thoughtful speaker at each service make it a deeply meaningful experience. There will be an opportunity to acknowledge yartzeits (memorials).
On Yom Kippur, we reflect on the year past and the year ahead. This morning service is family-friendly but speaks to people of all ages. During midday services, join Kahal B’raira for thoughtful humanist liturgy that echoes traditional liturgy. We will sing niggunim (wordless melodies) that are easy to sing along and set a contemplative tone. A member will speak on a holiday theme, followed by discussion with the congregation.
Join us in person or on Zoom for a meaningful experience of culture, celebration, education and community life!
Suggested donation for non-members is $100 per person or $150 per household.
Kahal B’raira is a congregation that supports the beliefs and commitments of Humanistic Judaism. Our non-theistic liturgy draws from the Humanistic Jewish tradition as well as Torah, Talmud, medieval scholarship, humanistic philosophy, contemporary Jewish and secular literature and the reflections of our members. We welcome all who identify with the history, culture and fate of the Jewish people.
