Calling all seniors! Come to the Vilna Shul this February and meet local actor Dorothy Keville.

Dorothy will discuss her inspirational life experiences both personally and professionally. She will share her journey of being a single mother of five children, her studies and experiences in higher education, and her political and current artistic career.

After working in public policy for three Secretaries, Dorothy started Government Affairs for the American Pharmacists Association and became a federal lobbyist. She was then recruited by Burroughs Wellcome and was a lobbyist in 14 states working on HIV/AIDS issues. From there Dorothy started the groundbreaking AIDS Drug Assistance Program and then moved on to Africa Bridge, nonprofit matching AIDS orphans with families in Tanzania.

At the age of 70 Dorothy took a new path and became an actor. You can see her on the silver screen in such films as Fish and Chips, a 40 minute independent film about Alzheimer’s which won Best Short Film at an International Film Festival. Her next film will deal with the difficult issues surrounding PTSD.
