Jonathan D. Sarna: Jewish Boston – The Way We Were, The Way Forward
Wow! A chance to celebrate Shabbat as a community and study, too! Jonathan D. Sarna is our guest this Shabbat B’yachad. He teaches at Brandeis and is a renowned expert, researcher, and writer on the topic of Jewish history in America, with more than 30 books under his belt.
Dr. Sarna’s students think he’s a rockstar. Come and find out why!
Other than our usual (Friday night) Shabbat B’yachad dinner costs, this weekend is FREE. In addition to signing up for Friday’s dinner, we ask that you sign up for the free lunch and child care sessions so that we can plan properly for you and your family.
Check our site for a detailed schedule.
Friday night we will have our wonderful Tot Shabbat before dinner, and during community services and learning, we will have a special youth program for children ages 5 and up. There will be child care for the littlest children (ages 5 and under.)
Saturday, during services, we will again provide child care. Lunch is provided for all. Please be sure to RSVP for child care and lunch (and, of course, for Friday night’s dinner).
Stay after Saturday lunch for a moving concert by Mistral Music (also free.) The program is called Of Love and Remembrance.
We invite you to join us for all or part of this special Shabbat. We look forward to welcoming you!+ More... - Less...
