Shabbat asks us to slow down and observe the world as it is. Much as we try, that can be hard. The practice of nature journaling is an observational exercise that helps us to see differently through sketching.

On this Shabbat morning, join Aki Yonekawa, with Ma’yan Tikvah, for a walk with paper, pens, and pencils and draw what we see. No art background necessary! This practice is about seeing differently, not about producing a product. We will work together as a group to take note of what we see and to help one another pay closer attention to the world around us.
