Join Kerem Shalom of Concord’s family engagement specialist Nancy Kaplan and Rabbi Sam for a Shavuot Tot Shabbat dance party and brunch!
We’ll share blessings, songs, and the joy and sweetness of Shabbat. We’ll offer our thankfuls and prayers for peace and healing. We’ll move, snap, tap, clap, sing, snuggle, and dance! We’ll hear a special story for Shavuot and welcome B’rachah the “Dragosaur” for blessings over juice and challah.
BYO bear or another cuddly friend to snuggle with.
Why do we eat dairy foods on Shavuot? One explanation (among many) is to remind us of the study of Torah, which, according to a verse from “Shir HaShirim” (Song of Songs), is like “honey and milk…under your tongue.” The Book of Exodus calls Israel “a land of milk and honey.”
