Tikkun olam, or repairing the world, is a treasured value in the Reform movement. Tikkun adam, inner development, is gaining more interest as Reform congregations around the country host Mussar (Jewish spiritual practice) and meditation groups. How do these two movements intersect?

Come on this special Shabbat retreat to explore how social justice, Jewish spirituality and inner development can be one integrated path and practice. We will learn, eat, talk, sing, meditate, pray and play together as we build our community of social change leaders. This retreat is designed for those engaged in social justice activity or leadership.

The retreat will be led by Rabbi David Jaffe, founder of Inside Out Wisdom and Action and author of the National Jewish Book Award winner “Changing the World From the Inside Out: A Jewish Approach to Personal and Social Change.”
