Award-winning storyteller Cindy Rivka Marshall will be the special guest at the upcoming Silverstein and Gray Kallah. Cindy will present Midrashic storytelling during Shabbat services and a performance of Jewish Tales’ “A Taste of Shabbat” following the enhanced Kiddush.

The Kallah lecture series has been bringing prominent speakers to Temple Emeth since 1977. The Kallah program is presented in memory of Frances and Nathan Silverstein and Anita, Robert, Milton and Mervin Gray.

Cindy tells multicultural and Jewish stories with universal lessons that resonate with her sense of wonder. Her recordings include “By the River: Women’s Voices in Jewish Stories,” “Challah and Latkes: Stories for Shabbat and Hanukkah,” and “Bear’s Tail and other Animal Tales.”
