Testimony and History–Women Prisoners’ Experiences in Auschwitz-Birkenau

Kahal B’raira is Greater Boston’s congregation for Humanistic Judaism. We have offered a nontheistic alternative in contemporary Jewish life since 1975. Join us on April 26, 2015 to observe Yom HaShoah (Holocaust remembrance). We will observe with a service and program – “Testimony and History–Women Prisoners’ Experiences in Auschwitz-Birkenau.” The speaker, Dr. Sarah Cushman, is Academic Program Liaison Officer at the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University. She earned a Ph.D. from Clark University for her dissertation, The Women of Birkenau. She is developing a secondary school Holocaust curriculum, The Letters Project, based on correspondence between parents and the children they sent to safety during the Holocaust.
