Perhaps no one in our neck of the woods knows more about the Catskills and the Jewish experience than Phil Brown, founder and president of the Catskills Institute. Come reminisce with Phil as he talks lovingly and proudly about the Catskills as a place he enjoyed with his family and later studied in depth; a unique haven where intergenerational Jews during and after the Holocaust gathered year round to share their joys and sorrows through conversation, food, sport and culture.

Phil Brown is also University Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Health Sciences at Northeastern University, where he directs the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute and is on the Executive Committee of the Jewish Studies Program.
