Join us for another thought provoking Israeli film of the DOC.IL documentary series! “The Dreamers,” an award-winning movie, tells the story of Ruchama and Tikva, two orthodox women, embark on a journey to fulfill their dream of making movies. But living in a closed religious society, they must struggle to find balance between their profound commitment to the community and loyalty to their individual creativity. A compelling story of a teacher and a wig-maker struggling to find freedom in their art.  How will they make their voices heard within a strict world of limitations and prohibitions? The screening will be followed by a conversation with the director. Watch the trailer here.

This event is also organized by the Israeli House and Shiri Katz-Gershon (community volunteer).
