When There are More Than 4 Questions: Ideas for a More Inclusive, Meaningful Passover Seder

March 26, 2014 Medford

In this workshop, we’ll explore the themes of Passover and how to incorporate them into a seder that’s compelling for everyone at the table. We’ll talk about different ways of experiencing a seder, the unique issues that interfaith families face during the holiday, and how to engage children and family members from various backgrounds. We’ll also introduce the traditional foods, practices, rituals and melodies of the holiday, so that families and loved ones can enjoy this meaningful holiday together.

The session will be run by Elana Kling Perkins, LICSW. She is an educator, individual therapist, and group facilitator at Perspectives: Jewish Living Through the Lifecycle. Elana offers pre-marital groups, parenting groups for raising Jewish children and psycho-educational programs for those choosing Judaism. She consults to congregations, schools, and other agencies.
