Join former Israeli consul general to New England and current J Street Israel executive director Nadav Tamir and New Israel Fund VP for public engagement Libby Lenkinski to reaffirm our community’s support for an inclusive democracy in Israel, acknowledge the current and historical challenges to that future, and explore what we in the American Jewish community can do to support that vision. We will hear from Israelis working to promote justice and democracy for all and American political leaders working to ensure U.S. diplomacy supports the same goals.

Join us at noon after the talks for a lunch of Middle Eastern fare, opportunities to take action with the sponsoring organizations, and small discussion groups led by the Temple Israel Progressive Israel Caucus.

Confirmed Speakers: Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA-2) and Rep. Lori Trahan (D-MA-3) in conversation with Nadav Tamir; Noa Sattath (Executive Director, Association for Civil Rights in Israel) in conversation with Libby Lenkinski.

Honorary Congressional Host Committee (in formation:) Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Edward Markey, Reps. Jim McGovern, Stephen Lynch, Bill Keating, Seth Moulton, Ayanna Pressley, and Lori Trahan.
