The pandemic has compounded all systemic issues: racial justice, disability justice, housing and food justice, immigrant justice, prison reform, and all other issues are more urgent than ever. Systemic oppression impacts all of us, and those at the intersections of various marginalized identities are impacted most severely. This is also true of the climate crisis, and as it intensifies, so will each of these issues.
Jews committed to climate justice and tikkun olam more broadly may have questions such as: Where do I focus my energy right now? How do I allocate my resources? What practices do I have to help me discern and maintain my commitments? How can I stay connected to vitality and hope?
In this session, we will craft a ritual object out of upcycled materials as a tool to help clarify connections between our core values, current actions and our climate commitments.
