Are Jews Today an Oppressed People?

The relationship between antisemitism and Jewish oppression is well-known. Throughout much of European history, antisemitism was one form of Jewish oppression. Yet it is arguably the case that Jews are not oppressed in America and yet antisemitism remains. And in Israel, Jews constitute a sovereign political identity and yet they continue to suffer attacks against them. What is the relationship between oppression of the Jews and antisemitism and how can that enable us to better assess our contemporary predicament?
