Waiting for the Messiah

The Cantor-Plex Film Festival presents “Waiting for the Messiah,” part of this year’s festival with the theme of “From the Four Corners of the Earth.” Through film and conversation, Cantor Michael McCloskey and Dr. Ray Feller will explore the diversity of the Jewish people and examine the ways in which Jewish people have influenced the culture in which they are immersed and are influenced by that culture.

Tonight’s film is set in Argentina and is about a young man who is torn between his devotion to traditional family ties and the desire for something different and an older man who suddenly finds his life in complete turmoil.

Refreshments will be provided. Discussion of the film will follow.
