Join CJP Women’s Philanthropy for an evening of defiant joy, powerful storytelling, and meaningful action.

Jewish people are in a moment of great difficulty—the rise in antisemitism and global uncertainty has weighed heavily on us all. If there’s one truth history shows, it’s that no matter what the Jewish people have to endure, we always come back stronger than before. This is the legacy of the Jewish people—and especially of Jewish women. We don’t just survive; we thrive.

At this event, we’ll hear a moving conversation between Kira Khazatsky, president and CEO of JVS Boston, and Holocaust survivor Janet Applefield, who will share personal stories of resilience. CJP’s own Eliza Kanner will guide the conversation, helping us reflect on how individual lived experiences of strength and perseverance translate into communal resilience.

Inspired by their stories, we’ll have an opportunity to take action and write postcards to Holocaust survivors as part of Jewish Family & Children’s Service’s new program, which brings together volunteers with survivors who are no longer able to drive. It’s a beautiful way to provide survivors with the support they need and connect them to a younger generation.

Find community with other women over light bites and desserts. Dietary laws will be observed.

Location: West Newton.

If you have any questions or need special accommodations, reach out to us at WomensPhilanthropy@cjp.org.
