Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band will perform a live concert at Club Passim on Thursday, October 6th at 8pm, in celebration of the release of their second album, Turning Point. This will be the first Wheels show at which their long-awaited new album is available for purchase.

Internationally-recognized klezmer ensemble Ezekiel’s Wheels brings passion, virtuosity, and contagious energy to every performance. The Wheels improvise with the intimacy of chamber music and the intensity of a rowdy dance band. They are equally at home performing on subway platforms, where they cut their teeth playing for the morning rush hour, as on the stage of the International Jewish Music Festival, where judges heralded them as “a true musical democracy”. With backgrounds in classical music, jazz, improvisation, and folk traditions from all over the world, these five musicians offer an engaging contemporary perspective on traditional Jewish music.

Additional information about the group, as well as music and video, can be found at www.ewklezmer.com.
