Presenters will include our very own JCAN – MA’s Marya Axner and 350’s Monte Pearson. We will hear about the Peabody Peaker Power Plant and, last but not least, planning for an energy future and fixing the New England power grid. We will be talking about a very important rally coming up. See the information below.

Our event starts with optional schmoozing at 6:15 p.m., followed by the meeting from 7-8:30 pm.

FIX THE New England ELECTRIC GRID!

Sunday, November 14

Send a message to ISO New England
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

In HOLYOKE, MA – Near the office of ISO New England
Exact location to come!

Come rally, protest, and sing

350 member Valerie Walton and her band, along with 350 member Roger Rosen will be performing new and old protest songs. Sing and listen to speakers together! Send a message to Independent System Operator (ISO) New England.

ISO New England is the Independent System Operator, a non-profit organization, that oversees the purchase of energy for the New England electric grid. It favors fossil fuel energy over renewables- in fact only 5% of the energy it purchases are renewables. To address our climate emergency, we have to show ISO New England that they must be responsible to the people of New England and move to solar and wind energy.
