Join us for one of our active living programs for older adults with Hannah Shulman.

Session 1: Brief Overview of Mind-Body Research and Practices
Learn how to identify triggers of stress, anxiety and panic, mini meditation practice and grounding techniques.

Session 2: Review of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Its Benefits for Anxiety
Learn ways to challenge negative thoughts, an introduction to CBT-I (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia) and body scan meditation.

Session 3: Pain Management Review and Ways to Control Anger
Learn about relaxation, progressive muscle relaxation and guided imagery meditation.

Session 4: Self-Compassion and Compassion Toward Others
Learn more about mindfulness and Judaism and lovingkindness meditation.

Hannah Shulman has an M.S. degree in counseling psychology from Northeastern University and is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). She is also certified as a mind-body medicine clinician at Mass General’s Benson Henry Institute and works full-time in primary care at Beth Israel Deaconess-Lahey Health.
