The Greater Boston Resiliency Roundtable is a collection of stakeholders committed to addressing youth (ages 12-26) mental health in the Jewish community. This comes from the national work of BeWell, an initiative of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), in partnership with the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies. The goal of the Greater Boston Resiliency Roundtable is to facilitate the creation of infrastructure for promotion, coordination and collaboration among care providers, thereby streamlining access to services and resources.

Program spotlight: JTI Peer Leadership Fellows – Wellness Cohort at JCC Greater Boston. Shelby Weinstein, the PLF Wellness Coordinator, will lead a short activity to ground our group, as well as sharing tools to incorporate wellness practices into teen programs.

Shelby Weinstein, MPH, brings a passion for community health, storytelling, and mindfulness to her work as Coordinator of the JTI Peer Leadership Fellows Wellness Cohort. With a Master of Public Health from Boston University and certification to teach yoga and mindfulness, Shelby teaches wellness practices at MIT and leads young people in exploring what it means to take care of themselves and their communities. Before joining the JCC, she worked with Peer Health Exchange, supporting teens in sharing their stories and building digital spaces that center youth voice and well-being.

About the JTI Peer Leadership Fellows: Through this year-long fellowship, teens in grades 10-12 learn to build authentic, meaningful relationships that foster an inclusive, connected teen community across Greater Boston. Fellows learn to guide peers toward the many opportunities available to Jewish teens, while working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and promote overall wellness. Fellows in the Wellness cohort work to remove the stigmas surrounding mental health and wellness, educating themselves and their peers through group learning and programmatic opportunities. Fellows engage in high-level training in awareness, advocacy, relational engagement and leadership development. Applications for the 2026-27 cohort will open in the spring.
