On the Jewish holiday known for its magic, playfulness and confusion, join us for a spectacular evening of chicken-footed demons, ancient Jewish folk magic and enchanted Russian forest-dwelling Purim festivities.

This year’s lineup:

  • 7:45 p.m. Doors open
  • 8 p.m. Everyone’s favorite Jewish drag troupe Turmohel takes the stage for a one-year anniversary mini set!
  • 9 p.m. The best Boston/Somerville has to offer: Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band
  • 10 p.m. A raucous, revolutionary and radically reimagined Purim spiel
  • 11 p.m. Dance party!
  • 1 a.m. Party end time

Cover is $10-$36 sliding scale, and you can pay with cash/check/credit card at the door or online in advance. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. 18+. Event is wheelchair accessible.

Pay $36 (or more) and you’ll become a Boston Workers Circle member, growing our collective voice and power. Want to volunteer? Sign up here.

Come dressed in costume; your zaniest, truest iteration of self! And remember: Racist costumes will be denied entry. Purim is often a time when people experiment with gender presentation. Gender play in the spirit of joy is encouraged, but not in the spirit of misogyny and bigotry against trans/GNC people. Not sure about your costume? Ask Maddy at maddy@circleboston.org.
