Havdalah, or “separation” in Hebrew, is Shabbat’s closing ritual, when three stars appear on Saturday evening. With blessings over lights, grape juice and spices, Havdalah is an inspiring way to end Shabbat and start the new week as a family.
Come join us for a meaningful Havdalah gathering taking place in Temple Israel’s outdoor courtyard. Children (ages 2-6) will create their own Havdalah kits with all the symbols of Havdalah, including a spice box! Then we will recite the blessings and sing songs with our clergy. Pizza will be served.
* Registration closes on November 11th
