Join us for a National Poetry Month reading from Jendi Reiter’s new collection “Introvert Pervert” (The Word Works, 2026).
This event brings together three contemporary poets in a live reading that reflects the vitality of independent literary spaces — and the role they continue to play as spaces where language, the politics of freedom, and public exchange meet. Jendi is an award-winning writer whose work engages queer/trans embodiment, moral imagination, and the tension between humor and harm — writing that refuses to soften, and in doing so opens space for others to live and write more freely.
They are the author of nine books, with work appearing in Poetry, NonBinary Review, and Room Magazine, and recipient of honors including Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowships and the Oscar Wilde Award for LGBTQ Poetry. Jendi is a graduate of Harvard University with a focus on religion.
