Jewish Music Reimagined: Yale’s A Cappella Group, MAGEVET

November 1, 2014 Brookline $15.00 - $150.00

Celebrate the kick-off event of the 75th anniversary of Temple Emeth with song! MAGEVET, the Jewish a cappella group at Yale University, presents Jewish Music Reimagined, featuring a selection of Jewish, Israeli, and Hebrew music. With original arrangements and depth of feeling, MAGEVET strives to stretch the boundaries of what people think of as Jewish music.

The group’s diverse repertoire includes modern Israeli pop, Renaissance choral pieces, Yiddish folk tunes, and Zionist classics. The members of MAGEVET are equally diverse: engineers and historians, Jews and non-Jews, native New Englanders and Californians all united by camaraderie and a love of singing.

Following the concert, please join us for a dessert reception.
