Join Havurah on the Hill for our monthly Kabbalat Shabbat celebration. In honor of Shavuot (traditional foods include anything and everything dairy) and to kick off summer, we are hosting an ice cream party featuring J.P. Licks ice cream and the owner Vince Petryk!

New faces are always welcome at Havurah on the Hill, so bring your friends!

Vince Petryk graduated from Temple University with a degree in psychology and started his ice cream career at Hilary’s Ice Cream parlor in 1976. Starting as a dishwasher he advanced to manager and eventually to an ice cream maker. J.P. Licks was “born” in a renovated triple decker in Jamaica Plain in 1981 when we was 26 years old. J.P. Licks’ mission is to create an environment where people savor the comfort and festivity of homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt, and its magical power to reconnect us to childhood pleasures with a single taste. Creating a niche in the ice cream cafe world, J.P. Licks is Kosher certified and locally owned and operated for over 25 years.
