Experience a new way to observe Shabbat through an appreciation and a connection to the world around us. All ages are welcome to join Rabbi Katy and Gabi Mezger of Ma’yan Tikvah and connect with nature and other members of the group through singing, meditation, prayers and a Torah discussion.

We will also walk around Upper Mill Brook’s ponds and streams and search for marsh marigolds in this delightful spring event. You may find a peace and connection with Shabbat you haven’t found at a more traditional service.

We will also hold a potluck lunch after our service.  Please bring something to share for lunch and we’ll either have a picnic or return to Rabbi Katy and Gabi’s home if we want to eat indoors. (Address will be shared with registered attendees)

TIP: The trail to the marshy area can be muddy, so sturdy footwear is encouraged, and if it is at all damp out, bring a plastic bag or something similar to sit on.

We’ll meet in the back of the parking lot by Peace Lutheran Church.
