What is “mensch work?” In “Mensch Reimagined: How Masculine People Build a Culture of Nurturance,” explore the implications that undergird our understanding and experiences of this self-identification.

Led by Los Angeles community organizer and activist Ian Schiffer, the class will work to create a community of support for Jewish masculine identifying people, imagining and practicing a culture of nurturance. Using tools from our spiritual inheritance, including Mussar, text study and cycle rituals, along with creative intervention tools such as role play and body work, the class will mobilize their Jewish masculine selves striving for collective liberation and gender justice.
