Wrestling Jerusalem, a solo performance piece about Israel and Palestine, will be staged at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Saturday, February 21 (8pm) and on Sunday, February 22 (2pm).
Set in America, Israel and Palestine, Wrestling Jerusalem reflects on the multi-layered issues that live at the center of a conflict that has lasted generations. Actor Aaron Davidman weaves a tapestry of narratives and gives voice to a dozen different characters in this ‘riveting’ performance, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The show is written by Aaron Davidman and directed by Michael John Garces.
A facilitated discussion will be held after the performance. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Center for the Arts. Cost is $28 ($25 for seniors; $15 for students). Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/artsevents or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org.
