The mikveh ritual, immersion in a pool of water to enter a state of readiness, is one of Judaism’s oldest rituals. Mayyim Hayyim celebrates this ancient practice while creating space to reimagine it, focusing on the ways in which mikveh can renew, refresh, and mark change.

On June 21, Mayyim Hayyim will be offering dedicated immersion appointments for LGBTQ+ Jews who wish to affirm their identities by immersing in the mikveh during Pride Month. Appointments will be 30 minutes, and immersions will happen privately and individually. Before/after immersing, guests are welcome to gather for tea, schmoozing, and watercolor painting. (Know that while this event is explicitly intended for queer visitors in honor of Pride Month, LGBTQ+ Jews are welcomed at Mayyim Hayyim year-round for all occasions.)
