Join the Vilna for an uplifting community and culture mission to Eastern Europe from June 17-26, 2018!

Highlights include:

  • Intimate group size
  • Access to scholar-in-residence throughout the mission, Jacek Nowakowski, Senior Curator, National Institute for Holocaust Documentation
  • Explore the historic “Jerusalem of Lithuania” – Vilnius – with a side visit to the Old City of Kaunas

  • Krakow’s annual Jewish Culture Festival

Each participating household is asked to contribute to Jewish life and culture in downtown Boston for everyone by making a minimum gift of $1,800 to the Vilna Shul’s 2018 Annual Campaign.

Scholar-in-residence Jacek Nowakowski, Senior Curator at National Institute for Holocaust Documentation, was born in Krakow, Poland and is the child of a Holocaust survivor. He emigrated to the United States, where he became the Director and Chief Curator of the Polish Museum of America. Jacek later moved to Washington, D.C., becoming the Director of Collections and Acquisitions at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where he was closely involved in the implementation, design, and building of the Museum’s main permanent exhibition. He is frequently asked for expert advice for many Holocaust and museum-related projects both in the U.S. and overseas.
