Join Jeffrey Yoskowitz and Liz Alpern, co-authors of “The Gefilte Manifesto: New Recipes for Old World Jewish Foods,” as they demonstrate some of their favorite Passover recipes and share their unique brand of reimagining Old World Jewish foods.

Liz and Jeffrey will dig deep into the Ashkenazi Jewish kitchen, exploring the culinary wisdom behind gefilte fish and horseradish pairing and the multiple gradations of schmaltz, among other topics. Tastings will include chopped liver served two ways, their one-of-a-kind herbed gefilte fish terrine and carrot citrus horseradish.

The event is followed by a book signing and reception featuring samples of recipes from “The Gefilte Manifesto.” Cookbooks will be available for sale with your ticket or onsite during the post-demonstration signing and reception.

JewishBoston readers get a special 15 percent discount, which is automatically applied at checkout when you register through our site.
