Political Whiplash: Jewish Thought in Times of Uncertainty

During a dinner after Friday night services, visiting Altshuler Scholar-in-Residence Dr. Leah Hochman will speak about Political Whiplash: Jewish Thought in Times of Uncertainty. Services begin at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m.

The event is free for children 4 years old and younger.

Dr. Leah Hochman teaches classes in medieval and modern philosophy, American Judaism, modern history, food ethics, Jewish identity and Jewish literature at the University of Southern California and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. Dr. Hochman also directs the Louchheim School for Judaic Studies at USC. Her exciting and compelling presentations will help us understand what it means to be Jewish. Dr. Hochman is visiting as the Altshuler Scholar-in-Residence.
