Join Kahal B’raira for meaningful and uplifting High Holiday services. Kahal B’raira’s non-theistic liturgy is rooted in Jewish tradition, and draws on our Humanistic beliefs that each of us has a responsibility to ourselves and our community to build a better world. Together we will reflect on the past year, draw inspiration from each other, and celebrate the year to come!

Services include songs, responsive readings, a member reflections on the themes of the holiday, and the shofar. Kahal B’raira’s liturgy is mostly in English, with some songs and blessings in Hebrew. All Hebrew is transliterated, and customs are explained.

Rosh Hashanah Evening Service – Friday, 9/11, 7:30-9 p.m.
All ages are welcome, though the Rosh Hashanah evening service is geared toward older kids and adults.

Rosh Hashanah Morning Service – Saturday, 9/12, 10-11:15 a.m.
Our morning services are popular among families with young kids. During morning services, teens from our community deliver the sermon. By featuring teens, we aim to show younger children a pathway for involvement in Jewish community, give adults the opportunity to hear from a new generation, and give youth a voice in shaping our community’s values.

Services take place at First Parish UU, Arlington, and on Zoom.
