“Soul Witness: The Brookline Holocaust Witness Project” Screening

This event features a work-in-progress documentary film by R. Harvey Bravman. This documentary features footage from approximately 80 hours of video interviews conducted by the Town of Brookline between 1990-1996 of residents who witnessed the Holocaust.

Witnesses describe their lives before the war, growing intolerance, their lives during the war and the affect their experiences still had on them at the time of the interviews. Some of these witnesses survived death camps, some hid, others fought in resistance movements and many saved the lives of others.

These interviews have not been seen by the public for over 20 years.

The event will also feature:

  • Video tribute to Regina Barshak and Leon Satenstein, founders of the Brookline Holocaust Memorial Project
  • Adam Strom of Facing History and Ourselves moderates a question-and-answer session with Holocaust testimony expert Lawrence Langer and “Soul Witness” director R. Harvey Bravman

The event is founded and hosted by Brookline Hub Inc. Brookline Hub Inc. is a 501C3 nonprofit, which publishes BrooklineHub.com. All contributions and sponsorships are tax deductible.
