The Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City is holding a virtual curator talk about its new exhibition, “The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do.”

The exhibition addresses the Holocaust through personal stories, objects, photographs and film, revealing the extremes of hatred while showing the ability of the Jewish people to endure. The museum notes that the exhibition makes its debut at a time when Jewish heritage is becoming more precious in the wake of rising antisemitism.

Two members of the exhibition’s curatorial team—professor Judy Tydor Baumel-Schwartz, director of the Arnold and Leona Finkler Institute of Holocaust Research at Bar-Ilan University; and Rebecca Frank, curatorial research assistant at the museum—will discuss how the exhibition was curated while sharing specific objects and their narratives.
