Visiting Altshuler Scholar-in-Residence Dr. Leah Hochman will lead a text study on the Parshat HaShavuah (Torah portion of the week), Vayak’heil – P’kudei.

Dr. Leah Hochman teaches classes in medieval and modern philosophy, American Judaism, modern history, food ethics, Jewish identity and Jewish literature at the University of Southern California and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. Dr. Hochman also directs the Louchheim School for Judaic Studies at USC. Her exciting and compelling presentations will help us understand what it means to be Jewish. Dr. Hochman is visiting as the Altshuler Scholar-in-Residence.
