“The Weight of Ink” is an absorbing novel set in London in the 1600s and the early 21st century and tells the story of two remarkable women—Ester Velasquez, a 16th-century scribe for a blind rabbi, and Helen Watt, a contemporary historian who becomes intensely involved in Ester’s history.
