Tot Shabbat services are appropriate for families and children from birth to 6 years old. Shabbat Club is a service designed for 1st to 4th graders and their families.
Tot Shabbat services last about 30 minutes and are led by our clergy and Rabbi Amy Hertz, Director of Congregational Learning. They include candle lighting, giving tzedakah, an age-appropriate Shabbat service, and lots of singing! After services, we join together for Shabbat table blessings, a complimentary family-friendly dinner and Oneg (dessert), arts and crafts activities, a play space for our youngest guests, and the opportunity to meet other families with young children. No RSVP is required.
In Shabbat Club, students in 1st-4th grade and their families will enjoy a Shabbat experience with special kid-friendly prayer books and learn the prayers in Hebrew! We will sit in chairs in the chapel and have the chance to learn about the weekly Torah portion in a family-friendly way. We will join together with our Tot Shabbat friends for a family dinner after the service.
