The Azorean Jewish Heritage Foundation is excited to invite you for a fabulous trip to see the sights, sounds and history of the Azores region of Portugal.

Join our fourth annual trip from May 7-12 to Sao Miguel Island in the Azores, where you can explore a new destination and see the meaningful work we are doing to preserve and restore the Jewish history of this special place. Enjoy Shabbat in the newly-restored Ponta Delgada Synagogue, as well as fun excursions like guided tours, dipping in natural hot springs and exquisite local dining.

Ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of the coolest places to go in 2019, a trip to the Azores is not to be missed! Sign up quickly to reserve your spot. Our block of reservations is filling up fast.

Nearly four years ago we celebrated the restoration and reopening of the historic Sahar Hassamain Synagogue in the city of Ponta Delgada. The synagogue had sat dormant, abandoned and in disrepair for decades. But thanks to the leadership of the municipality of Ponta Delgada, the Azorean Jewish Heritage Foundation and friends like you, one of the oldest synagogues in Portugal is once again restored, open to the public and drawing visitors from near and far.

We want to show you this beautiful island! Beyond the synagogue, you will explore gorgeous seaside towns, enjoy delicious food and wine and soak in the natural hot springs.
