In this two-part series for those in their 20s/30s, we’ll explore tzedakah (charitable giving).

In the first session, we’ll look at what Jewish sources say about giving: Why is it important? How much should we give? Does it matter how we give (anonymously or by name)? Can/should we give of ourselves in ways other than financial?

In the second session, we’ll think practically about how we might choose to give charitably and workshop the implications in our lives: How do we choose what organizations or efforts to support? Does it matter if they have an explicitly Jewish mission? How do we ensure our values are aligned with our giving?

Hosted in a private residence in Brookline in partnership with Congregation Kehillath Israel and Based in Boston. Please RSVP for the address.
