Tzedek Salon With Alex Sheff of Health Care For All

We will be hosting Alex Sheff, the co-director of policy and government Relations at Health Care For All (HCFA)—the longstanding health care consumer advocacy organization in Massachusetts.

Alex’s work focuses on prescription drug costs, delivery system reform, integration of social determinants of health, older adults and oral health. Prior to joining HCFA, Alex was the senior program manager for Medicaid strategies at Partners HealthCare, where he led the development and operation of their Medicaid Accountable Care Organization.

Alex also served as the senior health policy advisor to U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, where he oversaw her health care portfolio and focused on legislation such as the Affordable Care Act and the Excellence in Mental Health Act. He holds a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

Tzedek Salon, a program of JALSA, brings young people in their 20s and 30s together with activists and policy experts at local bars to explore the issues facing our society.
