Hiring managers face a challenging situation. With the Commonwealth’s unemployment at historic lows, job openings are at an all-time high, and firms are struggling to hire talented workers. JVS’s Economic Opportunity Forum will dig deeper into the labor market issue and how employers are attempting to creatively find solutions.

The forum will feature Alicia Sasser Modestino, associate professor of public policy and urban affairs and economics at Northeastern University, and Jason Hopkins and Marilin Morales, area leaders for sweetgreen regional locations in Massachusetts and California, with a report on how sweetgreen is responding to the tight labor market. Carolyn Ryan, senior vice president of policy and research at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, will provide introductory remarks.

The event is co-hosted by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Davis Family Charitable Foundation.
