We are glad to invite you to rooftop Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services this year! We are confident this will be a unique and safe in-person High Holiday experience.

Safety Procedures

Safety is our priority. Here’s what we’re doing to make our High Holiday services as safe as possible:

  • Conducting all the services outdoors on the rooftop. (In the event of rain, we have secured the largest ballroom, which is 6,000 square feet, as a backup.)
  • We will be practicing social distancing with six feet between all participants.
  • There will be limited spots available as per the requirements by law. Reservations are required to ensure limitations are respected.
  • Participants are required to wear a face covering or mask.
  • The duration of services will be more concise this year.

Reservations for Rooftop Services

Following the guidelines of the State of Massachusetts and given the limited number of seats that will be available, online reservations are required for services in advance. Reservations are currently open. Reserving early is highly recommended.

In order to use the space efficiently, we have divided the services into time segments. We hope you will join us for all segments. We do ask that you only reserve for the services you plan on attending.

Chabad of Downtown’s High Holiday services are always free of charge. This year, to ensure the limited space will be held for those who do plan on coming, there will be a $36 reservation fee per party. This nominal fee does not cover the costs of High Holidays in the city and we kindly ask you to consider making a contribution. Nobody will be turned down due to lack of funds.

Partnership

We thank those who partner with us financially and help make the High Holiday services available for the Jewish community in the city. Every contribution is appreciated. To donate, please click here.
