All are invited to a downtown lunchtime study group where Rabbi Elizabeth Bonney-Cohen will unpack the season of the Omer, this special time in the Jewish calendar between Passover and Shavuot. What meaning is there in counting each day for 49 days? When anticipating a big moment, we typically “count down”; why do we “count up” during the Omer? We’ll explore some of the ideas behind the season and discuss how it might be relevant to us today.
A kosher lunch will be served. Space is limited and we need to get a list of participants to the building security, so please RSVP.
