Gender can be complex and people are defining themselves in new and different ways. Data shows that today’s young people have significantly different understandings of gender than previous generations.

As a community that welcomes people of all races, ethnic identities, gender identities, sexual orientations, physical and mental abilities, ages and religious backgrounds, we feel it is important to learn about accepting one’s true self.

The workshop will be led by Beth Niernberg, a licensed mental health counselor. Along with Beth, we will welcome a panel of speakers who will share their personal gender identity journeys and parental experiences. You will learn the difference between gender and sexual orientation, common terms and have the opportunity to ask questions.

It is our hope you will leave with a deeper understanding of gender identity and know where to turn for additional information and/or support.
